Tote text: The Karthigaipoo (Gloriosa superba) is the national flower of Tamil Eelam. Blooming every November during Maaveerar Maatham or Tamil Heroes Remembrance Month, its jagged petals shoot across the Tamil homeland—soft yellow and bright red—like a bursting flame.
